Our Vision, Our Mission, Our Calling

From Darkness to Light

To devote our lives with active willingness to the denial of guilt in all forms.

To provide services and opportunities to inspire current and former prisoners through the practical application of forgiveness and by living a life guided by principles.

“We have a mission here. We did not come to reinforce the madness that we once believed in. Let us not forget the goal that we accepted. It is more than just our happiness alone we came to gain. What we accept as what we are proclaims what everyone must be, along with us. Fail not your brothers, or you fail yourself. Look lovingly on them, that they may know that they are part of you, and you of them.” (W-139.9)

How it began

It was February of 2018 at a conference in San Francisco when I began to hear the words prison ministry in my mind. I did not know what to make of it at the time. During that weekend event, three people that I had not met before approached me and asked me if I was involved with prison ministry and some of them asked if I needed any help with it. It took some time to follow this inner calling and now with the support of many people, and from the ministry I was with when I started hearing this direction, it seems to be coming together. Shortly after that I started having regular communication with an inmate from Ohio, Dale Crowe, and have continued on a daily basis until the present day. It was not long before I realized that this one relationship was my prison ministry. At this same conference was a mighty companion that I was seeing for the second time, Frank Hochuli. When we first met there was an instant recognition and we felt a deep connection. We had a feeling that somehow, someday we would be joined in purpose together.

Where we are now

I am currently living in northern Nevada and in the perfect place to extend the message of forgiveness in the Northern Nevada Correctional Facilities. I have been taking weekly services into the local facilities in the area. Each week is an opportunity for a deepening into the holy encounter and extending. With both male and female participants on different days I get an opportunity to continue to teach what I would learn.
I travel to other to other states to share the message and the numbers in Ohio seem to grow. The ministry is spreading to surrounding facilities and I have visited  five of them in one trip with many new members.
Movie watching for awakening programs have been started in both Ohio and Texas, with weekly movies and discussion groups.
Frank and others help support our travels and extending this message in Nevada and into other states.

What do we want to come of this?

With peace of mind as our one goal, we are determined to use everything for the unified purpose of forgiveness. We are not out to change the world but rather change our minds about the world. We have a vision of what the inmate program may some day look like, but that is not up to us. We are here to say yes to the means and to hand over our plans to the One who knows what is in our best interests. We want to experience that God’s will and our will are one.

“A healed mind is relieved of the belief that it must plan, although it cannot know the outcome which is best, the means by which it is achieved, nor how to recognize the problem that the plan was made to solve.” (W-135.12)

His Voice will teach you what forgiveness is, and how to give it as He wills it be. (S-2.III.2)
