In a quiet and decisive moment, he prayed, “If there is anything out there, now is the time. I need to know.” A voice answered. The certainty of that encounter reoriented his path. Later, when he tried to steer by his own decisions, the voice was no longer heard as clearly, yet the remembrance remained bright. It guided him to the Living Miracles Community and to his life partner, where the journey turned from searching to trusting.

Wesley did not set out to work in prison ministry. A series of small coincidences opened a simple door, and he stepped through. He felt a shared desire that runs through everyone, inside prison and outside, the desire to feel truly safe. The walls may differ, but the question is the same. What is safety if not a state of mind that cannot be threatened.
